Caring for our Community

Caring for our Community

Caring for our community is an integral part of what we do at St John’s. We do this in many ways, in everyday unofficial activities, and in organised regular events.

A few crucial areas of our work are:

Christians Against Poverty: The church has identified poverty as an area of concern, so we run a debt centre to provide debt advice and support to people in our community. Click here to find out more.

English Language Cafe: If English isn’t your first language and you’d like a fun and informal place to improve your language skills, you can join our free English language classes on Thursdays in the Easter Centre. Click here to find out more.

Hope Cafe and Hub: The Hope Café and Hub is a popular community Café that we run in our Easter Centre on Manor Farm Lane. It is open on Wednesdays from 11.30am to 1.30pm. We don’t charge for food or drink, but ask for donations if you feel able. Click here to find out more.

The Besom: We support The Besom which provides a wide range of opportunities for groups to reach out into the community and help others in practical ways. Click here to find out more.

Care in Egham: We support this local organisation who provide much needed voluntary transport services for the elderly, the sick and people with disability. Click here to find out more.

Bereavement Support: The death of someone we love is a devastating experience. St Johns offers a variety of events which you might find helpful. Click here to find out more.
