Here is all you need to know about the services and celebrations at St John’s this year…

There are some wonderful services and events for people of all ages, and we are working hard to make sure at least some of these will be in person, a lot of what is happening will be available on our YouTube channel. We will keep this page updated with more information when the regulations and guidance are updated.

Even though we are in a Tier 4 area we are still allowed to go to church services in person. Click here to book your place at the events listed below.

Blue Christmas | 6th December – 2:30pm

A service of Remembrance and Hope. Remembering those whom we have lost and supporting those who are bereaved during this time of year. Available in-person and online.  This is still available on our YouTube channel here.

An Alternative Carol Service | 13th December – 6.30pm

A Christmas carol service with a twist! Come along and take part in a update on the Traditional Nine Lessons and Carols. Hear the wonderful Christmas message told afresh in person or online.  This is still available on our YouTube channel here.

Carols by Candlelight | 20th December – 6.30pm

Traditional Carol service that really makes Christmas special. Come and hear to the story of Christ’s arrival told through Bible readings and listen to some of the well known carols in person, or sing along at home if you watch online.  This is still available on our YouTube channel here.

Christmas Offering

St John’s Nativity | 24th December – 4pm

See the Christmas story acted out by some familiar and not-so-familiar faces, really good fun for all ages.

This is particularly aimed at families, but is open to everyone! Come and join in the fun in-person or online.

The Big Doorstep Sing! | 24th December – 8pm

Light a candle, stand out on your doorstep and join with your neighbours for a community sing-a-long!

Tonight’s carol is O Come All Ye faithful.

Midnight Communion | 24th December – 11pm

Come and join this late service which welcomes in Christmas Day!

A reflective celebration that includes taking Communion together. Available in-person and online.  For the service sheet click here.

Christmas Celebration | 25th December – 10:00am

It’s Christmas Day and we want to celebrate together!

Come and join us as the whole St John’s family enjoy worshipping Jesus and share in an Agape meal together.  For the service sheet click here.

Puppet Nativity 25th December – 3.30pm YouTube Channel

St John’s puppets and some of their friends have got together and recorded their version of the Nativity story, join us on Christmas day at 3.30pm.
