Church Re-Opening
Reopening for In-Person Worship
As you may know, the Government did not issue a blanket statement requiring churches to close in the current lockdown and the CofE left it to the discretion of the local church. We, rightly, chose to close our building for in-person worship from the beginning of the year.
However, a few things have changed since. The success of the vaccination programme, together with an encouraging decline in local Covid infections, makes us confident that, with current social distancing protocols in place, we can reopen safely. And so the PCC has decided to re-open the Church building for in-person acts of worship, including opening the church building for private prayer, from Palm Sunday, 28 March 2021.
