Service of Thanksgiving for the life of Her Majesty the Queen – Sunday 18 September at 7.45pm
After the evening service there will be a short 30-minute Service of Thanksgiving to coincide with the national minute of silence that has been called across the Church of England at 8pm.
Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II Funeral
We will be showing the televised funeral in Church on Monday 19 September and invite anyone from the community and church to come and watch. Please share with neighbours and friends that may prefer to watch with others. Doors open 10.45am.
Harvest Festival and Lunch – Sunday 25 September
With thanks to a benefactor, we have seed packets to give away to invite friends and family to our Harvest Festival. This will be followed by a Harvest Lunch from 12.30pm. Wildlife Gardening Sessions
We will be continuing these wildlife-gardening sessions every fourth Saturday of the month at 10am, in cordination with the working party who regularly maintain the churchyard.
If you would like to meet new people, get outdoors and promote wildlife in your community then please come along.

The Bereavement Journey – a place to talk
Mondays 10am-12noon, 12 September – 17 October in the Easter Centre. This course is for anyone who has been bereaved at any time and in any way. For more details contact the Church Office.
Bereavement Coffee Morning
We will be going for a walk on Runneymede 9.30am-12.30pm on Thursday 22 September. Contact the Church Office for more details.
Church Grounds Working Party
10am-12noon on Saturday 17 September. All welcome
The START Course
This is a 6 week course that offers a basic introduction to the Christian faith and covers themes including Life, God, Mess, Jesus, The Cross, and moving Onwards. Each week we will meet in the East Room from 1.15-2.45pm, beginning with refreshments and during each session we will watch 3 short DVD clips and have the chance to share our thoughts and ask questions as we go. The course begins on Wednesday 28th September and a link to watch the short promo clip is below..
Saturday 24 September – Car Wash and Bicycle Repair
Car Wash and Bicycle Repair Day 10am to 4pm in the church car park. Depending on the water situation we may offer to valet the car. All money and 50% from bicycle repairs will go to the Easter Centre. Volunteers required to wash / valet cars please. You won’t have to do all day. Contact Phil Darby or the Church Office.
St John’s Eco Fayre – 1-4pm Saturday 24th September

Forest Church Service – Sunday 25 September
