Thy Kingdom Come
Thy Kingdom Come is a prayer movement launched by Archbishops Justine and Sentamu in 2016. For the 10 days leading up to Pentecost, Christians from all over the world are called to pray for more people to come to know Jesus. Our vision at St John’s is to be a loving and growing community released and empowered to join in God’s work of proclaiming and demonstrating the good news to Egham and beyond. This year you are all invited to contribute towards this vision becoming more a reality through:

Egham Town Jubilee Fete – Friday 3 June
11am-4pm in the churchyard and Egham High Street. 1950s theme, cream teas, stalls, games, live music & more. See here for poster.
The Wonderyears Senior Rock Chorus and Band
In concert at St John’s at 8pm on 27 May. Admission is £10 with £8 concessions. All profits will be given towards the Easter Centre rebuilding costs. Tel Phil on 01784 473750 for more information.
Egham’s Got Talent – Friday 10 June in Church

The Bereavement Journey Course
Wednesday evenings 15 June – 20 July 7.30-9.30pm at the Easter Centre
Run in small groups over six sessions for anyone who has been bereaved

BreakThrough Summer Dinner – Wednesday 8 June
This is an evening dinner for all St John’s men of any age (students through to centenarians!) at a local pub. We’ve got nearly 20 guys signed up so far. If interested and not already received details please contact will.bissett@stjohnsegham.com. We’d love you to join us (and fill up the pub!).
Quiz Night – Friday 17 June
In the Easter Centre. Doors open at 7.15 pm for a 7.45 pm start. Maximum team of 8. Admission is £4 [£3 for under 18’s].
Garden Party – Sunday 26 June
3-6pm at Mauley Cottage. Cakes, etc. required please + helpers.

Diocesan church growth conference with J John – Saturday 11 June
9.30am-3.30pm
All in our congregation are invited to hear international evangelist, J John, who is visiting the diocese to show us in how to share our faith with our friends and help us to grow our church. He is the keynote speaker at the Diocesan Church Growth Conference will also feature presentations helping us address many of the other challenges which we are facing including how to attract more children and families.
The event will take place at St Paul’s Howell Hill (Epsom deanery). Places cost £10 including lunch and need to be booked in advance at guildford-conference.eventbrite.co.uk.
New Wine – United
Members of St John’s are going to week A, 23-28 July 2022. One of the best things about United is the chance to spend time with Church family and friends, sharing our experiences of encountering God together. Children’s Holiday Club 2022
A children’s Holiday Club is planned for 22-26 August followed by a Holiday Club Service on the Sunday.
