St John’s enables / runs a number of initiatives that needs volunteers. Without our volunteers, these initiatives would struggle to run.

Hope CafeCare for our communityThis is our community cafe that enables everyone from any background to have a hot nutritious meal. We embrace a zero waste philosophy. Runs every Wednesday from 11.30am-1.30pm
Infant Feeding ClinicCare for our community: Health & WellbeingEnables young mothers to access professional NHS advice. To provide a safe space for mothers and their partners to come learn about baby nutrition and care, and to interact with other parents to foster a stronger community. To volunteer, fill form below.
Genesis ProjectCare for our environment & communityWe have planted about 700 trees around Egham Orbit and in the Quincy Road green. We need help to maintain the trees, weed around them, water the trees during summer and mulch the trees.

parkrunCare for our community: Health & WellbeingSt John’s enabled the development and creation of a 5k run/walk at Egham Orbit that first ran on the 25th January 2025 and continues to support it as part of improving the health and well being of our communities. Repair ClinicCare for our environment & communityTo reduce landfill / incineration waste by empowering our communities to learn how to repair items that they thought they could not use.

To be able to lead an initiative or to be part of an initiative that involved children, you are expected to have completed the COE safeguarding course that you can find here: https://safeguardingtraining.cofeportal.org/ You will need to enter that you are part of the Guildford Diocese
